Have you lost a child?
Grieving the loss of a child is the most devastating experience a parent can face and the feelings of missing your child never completely goes away.

Losing a child can be the loneliest, most desolate journey a person can take and the only people who can come close to appreciating it are those who share the experience.

Grief is also a very individual experience, with no right or wrong way to grieve for your loss. In your grief you may be struggling to cope with your daily - life. You may feel a range of physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual experiences.

Do you recognise any of these experiences?
  • Physical: Tiredness and fatigue, changes in appetite, sleeplessness, crying and sighing.
  • Emotional: Sadness, feelings of anxiety or panic, anger, heightened emotionality and guilt.
  • Social: Tendency to withdraw from friends and family, discomfort in social situations.
  • Intellectual: Periods of confusion, aimlessness, lack of motivation, inability to concentrate, forgetfulness.
  • Spiritual: Searching for meaning, re-examination of priorities and religious/spiritual beliefs, ethical and philosophical questioning.

You may be feeling overwhelmed or 'stuck' by your grief and not know where to turn for answers or support.

As an experienced Counsellor I can support you to work through intense emotions and overcome obstacles to your grieving, in a safe environment.
